A Very Special Darklight Festival Launch Invitation
First things first! Darklight would like to invite you to this year's Festival launch,taking place in Grand Social, Thursday 28 October from 7pm. Help us kick off the festival in style. We ve got State.ie DJs and live music from synth-sensations Le Galaxie and metal/powerpop/rockers Vengeance and the Panther Queen, as well as a very special screening of the Free Your Film competition winners short films, in association with Sony Ericsson.

Skinny Wolves Present: Xiu Xiu & Former Ghosts
American gothic pop band Xiu Xiu play tracks from their tenth album, Dear God, I Hate Myself, which includes four tracks produced on a Nintento DS, in the Grand Social, Friday 29 October 8pm. Expect intensity and introspection. With special Guests Former Ghosts whose debut single Hold On was described by Pitchfork as sounding like what might ve happened to Joy Division if Ian Curtis had bought a Casio and a four-track and fired the rest of the band .
With support from Cixous Ghost plus Skinny Wolves & special guest DJs.

Synth Eastwood Presents Gruff Rhys & film premiere 'Separado!'
includes Q&A sessions with directors Dylan 'Goch' Jones and Gruff Rhys.
Join us, Saturday 30 October, 7pm IFI, for this psychedelic western musical in which Dylan Goch follows Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals, Neon Neon) through the theatres, nightclubs and desert teahouses of Wales, Brazil and the Argentine Andes as he discovers what became of his long-lost Patagonian uncle. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Rhys and Goch.

Darklight Halloween Party in association with Synth Eastwood
Closing Event with Very Special Guest DJs Gruff Rhys & Andy Votel
Join Darklight in the Grand Social for the festival closing party on Saturday 30 October, 9pm as they present a night of hair-raising revelry alongside Synth Eastwood and B Music and Special Guest DJs Andy Votel and Gruff Rhys. Expect epic live acts, surprise DJs and shenanigans. Dress Code: Scary
