Anna Higgs, Film4 - Keynote

Anna Higgs, Film4 - Keynote

Symposium

Darklight Reboot will be kicked-off by Film4 Commissioning Executive and Head of Digital Anna Higgs, who will share insights into her innovation work as keynote speaker in this symposium. An essential talk for anybody on the bright side of film production, storytelling and scriptwriting.

The symposium will begin with a keynote seminar by commissioner Anna Higgs, three years after her attendance at Darklight 2011. Anna will talk about the success and challenges of the Film4.0 digital initiative and it's changing shape within Film4, discussing the audience development and distribution strategies they developed for their projects. Anna will discuss past, current and upcoming work from their catalogue such as ‘A Field In England’, ‘20,000 Days On Earth’, ‘Scene Stealers’ and ‘Frank’, including sneak previews of new work.

Following this, Hugh Garry will run a break-out session focusing solely on the imaginative distributors'  marketing methods and audience development strategies they developed for Irish feature film ‘Frank.’ This will include a discussion with writer Jon Ronson, who was involved with the generation of these strategies, from the development of the script to screen (Anatomy Of A Film).
