Sunday Shorts Programme I

Sunday Shorts Programme I

This year, Darklight’s Sunday Shorts Programmes showcases work that pushes the envelope when it comes to both film form and theme. And there’s some major award-winners in the bag, including Mike Hoolboon’s 'Buffalo Death Mask' (International Critics Prize, Oberhausen) and Sundance Jury Prize-winner 'Love Love Love,' by Sandhya Daisy Sundaram.

From its inception Darklight has always valued the short film format like no other, bringing through new talent, merging disciplines, and realising artistic visions. This year, Darklight’s Sunday Shorts Programme showcases work that attempts to push the envelope when it comes to both film form and themes, from the disturbingly visceral to the disquietingly beautiful, the tragi-comic, to the socially marginalised to the emotionally isolated.  Here is a unique opportunity to see a selection of some of the most critically acclaimed, boundary pushing work in the short form, gathered from around the world.

Programme 1:

Gents of Letters - Colin Brady (Ireland) (2014)

Terra - Pedro Lina (Spain) (2013)
